Despite hosting a seemingly overmatched Holy Cross team, Boston College was unable to come away with three points. What had make this game feel like an extra disappointing result, especially after upsetting Clemson over the weekend, was BC’s 32-7 advantage in shots over the 110 minutes.
Simon Enstrom, Boston College’s senior forward, opened the scoring early in the second half with his sixth of the year on a rebound from a Trevor Davock shot. However, in the 42nd minute, the Crusaders were able to equalize by putting a long distance shot past sophomore goalkeeper Antonio Chavez Borelli.
In the second half, BC continued to put pressure on Holy Cross’ back line, but its defense and its keeper were up for the challenge, stifling every opportunity the Eagles had.
