NEWTON, Mass.: The No. 13 Boston College field hockey team wrapped up a successful home-opener weekend, defeating No. 25 Albany, 1-0, Sunday afternoon in Newton. Sophomore notched the only goal of the afternoon.
Despite a first half that found no change in score, the Eagles dominated in the offensive zone, having control of the ball for the majority of the half. The Eagles had the upper-hand in shots, 5-2, to end the half. Three of those five ended up on goal but were saved by Albany's Melissa Nealon. Junior goalkeeper had one save for the Eagles in the first half.
