LANCASTER, Pa. -- Boston College's Fusine Govaert and former Eagle Emily McCoy ('17) each progressed through the ranks of the USA Field Hockey Olympic Development Pipeline at the Young Women's National Championship, which concluded at the Spooky Nook Sports complex last week. A field of 107 athletes, comprising eight teams, were on hand seeking selection to the 2018-19 U-21 and Development Junior National Camps.
Govaert, a sophomore forward/midfielder at BC, was named to the 28-player U-21 JNC. She played in all 19 games for the Eagles in 2017 and came on to start the final 12; totaling 13 points on 12 goals and one assist.
