BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team won its series against Miami with a 11-6 victory behind four hits and six RBI from sophomore second baseman Luke Gold (Ballston, N.Y.) at the Harrington Athletics Village on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles, who won their first ACC series since the first league weekend of the season in late February, improved to 19-22 overall and 8-19 in league play, while the Hurricanes fell to 24-15 and 15-14.
Gold was 4-for-5 with a career-high five RBI and two runs scored. He doubled in two runs as part of a six-run bottom of the second for BC and drilled a two-run home run in the fourth.
