BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College softball team defeated No. 13/9 Florida State, 1-0, in game one of the day behind a complete-game, eight-strikeout performance by redshirt junior Allyson Frei. The Eagles fell in game two, 5-4, despite out-hitting the Seminoles, 12-3, ending their historic winning streak at 13 games.
The Eagles scored the only run of game one when junior Lexi DiEmmanuele hit a fly ball that was misplayed by the FSU left fielder, allowing junior Carly Seveirni to score from first.
BC took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of game two behind back-to-back doubles by seniors Chloe Sharabba and Annie Murphy and an RBI single by freshman CC Cook.
