AMESBURY, Mass. – Sophomore Jacob Fowler was named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week following his performances in Boston College's season-opening series against No. 4 Michigan State.
Fowler posted a 24-save shutout in the 3-0 victory over the Spartans on Friday, the first time since the 2010 season in which the Eagles opened the season with a shutout. The sophomore made 25 saves the following night.
The Eagles currently sit at No. 2 in this week's USCHO.com and USA Hockey / The Rink Live polls.
