Chestnut Hill, Mass. -- Boston College sophomore Connor Strachan was named Atlantic Coast Conference Linebacker of the Week, the league announced on Monday. He led the Eagles (3-1, 0-1 ACC) in tackles for the third time in 2015 with a career-high nine in the victory over Northern Illinois on Saturday.
The Wellesley, Mass., native logged seven solo stops and tallied career highs with one sack for a loss of nine yards and 2.5 tackles for a loss of 11 yards. He helped the BC defense hold the Huskies to just 72 rushing yards and only 153 total yards as BC continues to be the top-ranking defense in the nation.
