NEWTON, Mass. - Boston College sophomore Sam Coffey recorded her fourth multi-point game of the season and three others found the back of the net as the Eagles topped Temple, 4-1, in the first ever matchup between the two programs Sunday afternoon at the Newton Campus Soccer fields.
With the victory, the Eagles helped secure the 275th career win at Boston College for head coach Alison Foley and improved to 8-0 on the season, while the Owls fell to 3-4 on the season.
The Eagles got on the board first in the 25th minute when sophomore Sam Coffey tallied what was her team-leading fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick from the center of the box.
