CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. –Boston College senior wide receiver Zay Flowers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) earned Associated Press All-America Third Team as announced by the outlet on Monday afternoon. It marks the first All-America honor of his career.
Flowers is the first BC wide receiver to earn All-America recognition since Gerard Phelan (1984). The honor marks the fifth straight year an Eagle has been named an All-American by the AP.
Flowers broke every major receiving record at BC in his senior season; pushing to the top of the chart in receptions (200), receiving yards (3,056) and receiving touchdowns (29).
