CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's track & field team will welcome five newcomers to the program to begin the 2018-19 season. The incoming class includes student-athletes from four different states who will be competing in sprints, hurdles, mid-distance and distance events.
Russell Wells
Wells, a native of Wilbraham, Mass., is a fifth-year transfer from the University of Massachusetts. At UMass, Wells ran the program's all-time second-fastest indoor 800m at 1:52.10. A standout on the track and in the classroom, he was awarded the UMass Male Athlete's Highest GPA Award and the Isenberg-McCormack Top Senior Award, as well as being an eight-time Atlantic 10 Honor Roll member.
