AMHERST, Mass. – No. 19 Boston College responded to a 2-1 deficit midway through the second period by tacking up four goals in the third to skate past Massachusetts for the eight-straight time and clinch a home spot in the Hockey East quarterfinals on Thursday night at the Mullins Center.
With the win in Amherst, Boston College can finish no lower than fourth place and will host a quarterfinal round at Kelley Rink from March 9-11. If BC were to get four of its remaining six possible points, the Eagles would clinch their 16th regular season title outright.
