Boston College fell to #22 NC State 33-7 on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium. With both teams coming off respective bye weeks, NC State executed in all three phases and took care of business on the road.
After a mostly even first half, which saw the Eagles trail 10-7, the game escalated quickly early in the third quarter. A muffed punt from Grant Carlson led to a scoop and score for NC State to stretch the lead to 17-7. A deflected pass to Jaden Williams led to an interception, leading to Dennis Leary dropping a pass to Thayer Thomas who proceeded to take it to the house.
