CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Junior pitcher tossed out a near perfect game to start the series against the University of Virginia, defeating the Hoos 1-0 Friday afternoon.
The Burr Ridge, Ill., native pitched her fifth complete game of the season and held Virginia to no runs and just one hit in seven innings. She struck out seven as BC improved to 10-5 on the season and 1-0 in ACC play while Virginia dropped to 11-5 and 0-1 in conference play.
The game's sole scoring came in the second inning. After Jordan Stephens walked to first and a sacrifice bunt by Gator Robinson moved Stephens to second.
