Eagles Travel to South Bend to Face No. 13 Notre Dame Wednesday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Boston College travels to South Bend for a midweek matchup against No. 13/14 Notre Dame at the Compton Family Ice Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m. on Peacock. The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 26 but was postponed due to COVID protocols. Radio coverage on WEEI 850 AM and BCEagles.com begins at 6:45 p.m.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The Eagles enter the matchup at 10-8-3 overall and 5-6-2 in Hockey East play
• Following a six-game unbeaten streak, BC has lost its last three by a combined five goals
• Notre Dame is 16-7-0 overall this season and 9-5-0 in the Big Ten
• Boston College is playing the third in a stretch of five games in nine nights

SERIES HISTORY
• Wednesday will mark the 47th all-time meeting in the series with Boston College holding a slim 24-20-2 lead in the "Holy War" against the Fighting Irish
• BC has a slim 10-9-0 edge in the last 19 matchups dating back to the 2008 NCAA Championship Game in Denver, won by the Eagles 4-1
• The Eagles swept the Irish in a home-and-home series in December of 2019 by the combined score of 10-1, including a 6-1 triumph in South Bend
