NEWTON, Mass. — Boston College pulled off an ACC upset Saturday evening against Wake Forest, topping the Demon Deacons 3-2. The Eagles improve to 6-5-2, while Wake Forest drops to 9-5-1.
The first half was all Eagles. Junior Michael Suski started things off in the 27th minute when he beat the Wake Forest goalie in the box. Suski's classmate Stefan Sigurdarson was tripped in the box 17 minutes later and capitalized on his penalty kick.
Wake Forest would not go quietly, as Kyle Holcomb scored first in the second half in the 63rd minute.
