AKRON, Ohio - Boston College women's soccer earned its first road win of the season with a 2-0 triumph against Akron on Sunday afternoon inside FirstEnergy Stadium.
The Eagles are 2-3-1 on the season, while the Zips fall to 1-4-0
After a scoreless first half, the Eagles came out of the break to take advantage of their opportunities.
In the 52nd minute, Ella Richards found teammate Bella Douglas, who found the back of the net after slipping past two Akron defenders.
Playing in her first collegiate contest, Hanna Schmelzle scored 30 seconds later following a nifty move past the defender before she gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead with her first collegiate goal.
