CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 2 Boston College women's hockey team put its nation-leading penalty-kill unit to the test tonight, earning a 4-1 win at No. 9 Cornell. Senior Alex Carpenter scored two goals – including the 100th goal of her career – to help propel the Eagles to their seventh-straight win.
BC (7-0-0, 2-0-0 HEA) scored a pair of empty-net shorthanded goals in the final 90 seconds to secure the win but the Eagles had to fight off four separate two-man advantages, two of which saw Cornel play three skaters up after pulling the goaltender in the third period.
