SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Boston College volleyball team lost to No. 14 Syracuse, 3-0, inside Women's Building on Friday evening. The Eagles, who have faced top-15 teams in all five matches, fell to 0-5, while the Orange improved to 3-4. BC opted to wear masks during the match, while SU participated with gaiters worn low around the neck during play.
The straight-sets defeat came by scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 25-18.
The first set featured 10 ties, the last of which came at 11-11, and BC held a brief lead at 6-5. The Eagles led early in the second, 6-2, but a 6-2 run for the Orange forced BC to call timeout down 14-15.
