GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the first time since joining the ACC, the Boston College women's basketball team swept the weekly ACC Player of the Week awards, the league office announced on Monday.
Cameron Swartz was named the ACC Player of the Week, while Maria Gakdeng collected the freshman of the week award for the third straight week.
It's the first time this season a school swept both weekly awards. Gakdeng is the first Eagle since Mariella Fasoula (2015-16) to win freshman of the week three times in the same season. Swartz collects the honor for the first time in her career.
