CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Volleyball team continued its strong start on Saturday, winning the second match of the BC Invitational with a sweep of Providence in Power Gym, 25-21, 25-23, 25-8.
Boston College (2-0) outblocked the Friars (0-2) by a 9-4 margin and held Providence to a hitting percentage of -.064 (28 kills - 35 errors -110 total attempts). The Eagles hit .152 percent (27 – 13 – 92) and were led by senior McKenna Goss with seven kills.
The defense shone for the Eagles as juniors Makenzie Morrison (13) and Jane DeJarld (10) each recorded double-digit digs.
