CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College volleyball team returned to the court on Sunday afternoon on a mission, defeating North Carolina for the first time in program history with a 27-25, 25-12, 25-19 sweep of the Tar Heels in Power Gym.
The Eagles (13-9, 3-7 ACC) never hit below .306 percent in any of the three sets, attacking at a .365 clip (49 kills – 12 errors – 104 attempts) through the match. The Tar Heels (5-14, 1-9 ACC) narrowly out blocked the Eagles, 6-5, but only hit for .223 percent (39 – 16 – 103) in the loss.
