COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Boston College broke a 0-1 deficit with two runs in the third as the Eagles defeated the Terrapins 3-1 in game one of a doubleheader Friday afternoon at the Maryland Softball field.
The Terrapins struck first with one run in the bottom of the second. The Eagles responded in the top of the third adding on two runs. Nicole Giery got the momentum started for BC after Gator Robinson walked to first, a Giery triple brought Robinson through home plate. With Hannah Slike up to bat, a groundout to first base pushed Giery home.
