FORT MYERS, Fla. – Senior pitcher had a season-high seven strikeouts in a complete game effort as BC softball defeated the University of Memphis 7-2 in game one of a doubleheader at FGCU Softball Complex.
Abigail Knight got the scoring going for BC with an RBI triple in the top of the first. A few pitches later she scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-0 Eagles.
Junior shortstop Djhane Valido picked up her first RBI of the season with a single in the second. Senior center fielder Ellie Mataya doubled home two runs just two pitches later.
