DURHAM, N.C. – The Boston College baseball team was eliminated from the ACC Championship with a 13-5 decision to No. 17 North Carolina in the program's first trip to the semifinals at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Saturday. The Eagles fell to 31-27 on the season, while the Tar Heels improved to 41-17 and move on to Sunday's championship game.
The first two Carolina batters of the game walked and scored in the bottom of the first and the Tar Heels went on to lead the whole way. UNC built a 7-1 lead after the fifth and thwarted a BC comeback by answering the Eagles' four-run top of the sixth with three in the home half.
