WORCESTER, Mass. – The Boston College rowing team swept its races against Holy Cross and UConn on Sunday morning on Lake Quinsigamond, with the first varsity boat also retaining the Irving-Christensen Cup.
The first varsity eight started the morning by rowing to a win over the visiting crews from UConn and Holy Cross. In the second race of the morning, the Eagles' 2V8 won by over 30 seconds. The V4 and 2V4 took first and second in their heat, before the 3V8 and 4V8 did the same in the final race of the morning.
This marked the fourth consecutive meeting between these three schools that saw BC sweep all the races and the 1V8 keep the Irving-Christensen Cup.
