CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team will begin the 2018=19 regular season as the No. 4 team in the nation according to the U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO) Preseason Poll, which was released Monday.
The Eagles picked up 113 points, six points back of third-place Minnesota (119), and one first-place vote. Defending national champion Clarkson sits atop the preseason rankings with 147 points and 14-of-15 first-place votes.
Wisconsin (125) in second and Colgate (91) in fifth finish off the top five. Cornell checked in at No. 6 while BC's 2018 NCAA Quarterfinal opponent, Ohio State, was seventh.
