BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Boston College baseball team overcame a seven-run deficit, but ultimately fell at Virginia Tech, 15-8, on Sunday evening. The Eagles' evened their overall record at 25-25 and fell to 9-17 in the ACC, while the Hokies improved to 25-23 and 8-18.
The sixth inning took one hour and 15 minutes to complete with BC entering the frame down 8-1, tied at 8-8 in the middle of the inning and trailing 10-8 by the end of the stanza. The Eagles pulled even with seven runs on five hits as 13 batters went to the plate in the top of the sixth.
