CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College volleyball swept Sacred Heart, 3-0, at Power Gym on Friday night to open its season with a win. The Eagles won by scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-16.
Junior right side Izzy Clavenna (Dallas, Texas) and sophomore outside hitter Katrina Jensen (Temecula, Calif.) tied for the team lead with nine kills each. Clavenna hit a team-high .438, while Jensen added four digs and three blocks.
Sophomore libero Bridget Green (New York, N.Y.) picked up a team-leading 11 digs, while graduate outside hitter Clare Naughton (Atlanta, Ga.
