LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The Boston College ski team began its 2019 alpine season on Friday at Whiteface Mountain as the slalom competition kicked off the St. Lawrence Carnival and the EISA season. Due to windy conditions, the slalom took place instead of the giant slalom to open the competition.
"We came into today with four out of 10 starters in their first carnival and another three entering their sophomore year," said first-year head coach Craig Marshall. "Considering that inexperience and the extremely challenging snow conditions, course sets, and race trail, we had a tremendous day.
