Kamari Williams and Jay Heath started the game off connecting on two of its first three from beyond the arc for BC, as the team led 8-6 early on. In the first meeting at the Carrier Dome, BC missed its first 18 attempts from the perimeter.
After a 7-0 run by Syracuse, Julian Rishwain drilled two treys to give BC a 14-13 lead midway through the first half.
