CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Freshman Stefan Sigurdarson was named to the All-ACC Third Team while also earning a spot on the All-ACC Freshman team with teammates Amos Shapiro-Thompson and Victor Souza, as released by the conference today.
This is the second time Boston College landed three rookies on the All-ACC Freshman team. In 2009, Kyle Becker, Charlie Rugg and Justin Luthy were all named to the team.
Sigurdarson, a native of Iceland, led Boston College with seven goals, four assists for 18 points, along with three game-winning goals. He is ninth in the ACC in goals scored and in the top-10 in shots taken, points scored and game-winning goals.
