CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College hosts Boston University in the Battle of Comm Ave on Monday (Aug. 30) at the Newton Soccer Complex at 5:30 p.m. The Eagles' home opener against the Terriers will air live nationally on ACC Network.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
• Boston University fell 2-0 to No. 20 New Hampshire on Thursday in its season opener at Nickerson Field
• The Terriers played just four matches in the spring, going 1-2-1 against Patriot League opposition
• BU welcomes eight newcomers to its 2021 roster, including Air Force transfer Quinn Matulis and Puerto Rico National Team member Daniel Rosario
• Former BC assistant coach Kevin Nylen enters his second season as the head coach of the program
• Nylen helped guide the Eagles to a combined 24-11-6 record from 2010-11 with a pair of NCAA appearances

• Heading into the 56th all-time meeting in the series, Boston College holds an overall advantage of 28-18-9 dating back to 1967
• The Eagles enter Monday's meeting riding a seven-game unbeaten streak in the series

SEASON OPENER
• Quinnipiac scored twice in the second half to erase a 1-0 halftime deficit and beat Boston College 2-1 on Thursday afternoon at the QU Soccer Stadium
• The Eagles took the lead in the 12th minute on an individual effort from Connecticut native Michael Suski
• Following promising chances early in the second half from Stefan Sigurdarson and Moritz Frahm, the Bobcats scored twice in the span of three minutes to take the lead
• Jason Budhai equalized for QU in the 63rd minute and Tomas Svecula converted a penalty to the right post for a 2-1 cushion in the 66th minute
• BC out-shot QU 19-13 on total attempts and 8-5 on shots on goal
• Nine Eagles made their BC debuts including eight freshmen, six of which were in the starting lineup
