CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Boston College fencing team went undefeated at the first round of the Northeast Fencing Conference for the 2021-2022 season on Nov. 20.
The men went 5-0, defeating UMass, BU, Sacred Heart, and UNH, acquiring an automatic win from the Tufts team that did not compete. The women went 7-0, downing Wellesley, UMass, BU, Tufts, Sacred Heart, UNH, and Smith.
"Today was an excellent day for us," said Head Coach Brendan Doris-Pierce. "The woman's team picked up three wins against quality teams that always elevate their games against us. Our men's team saw a number of fencer gain valuable experience and strip time.
