Eagles Fall to Wake Forest, 6-2

NEWTON, Mass. – The Boston College field hockey team returned to play Sunday after a four-week hiatus, falling to Wake Forest, 6-2, in Newton, Massachusetts.

BC was out-shot 19-14 on the day and Wake held a seven to three advantage in penalty corners.

Wake scored three in the first half before BC scored its first at the 36-minute mark on a penalty corner. Margo Carlin passed it up to Juliette Hildra, who stopped the ball for Fusine Govaert to bury a shot in the back of the net.

The Demon Deacons would score two more before Elizabeth Warner dove to deflect an errant pass into the back of the net for BC.
