Eagles Fall to Virginia After Strong Start

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore Jill Strockis registered a season-high 28 digs Friday night as Boston College volleyball hosted Virginia in Chestnut Hill.

The Eagles came out strong in the first frame with graduate Lynn Braakhuis notching four kills and sophomore Cat Balido notching threes. Strockis had 10 digs in the first set alone. BC took the first, 25-21, but Virginia overpowered BC and took the following three to come out of the match victorious.

Braakhuis led the Eagles, and the match, with 11 kills on the night, and Strockis had the match high in digs (28).
