Eagles Fall to UNC in Overtime

Durham, N.C. – The 10th-ranked Boston College field hockey team fell in overtime, 2-1, to seventh-ranked North Carolina in Durham, N.C., on Saturday afternoon. The Tar Heels (5-2, 1-1 ACC) scored on a corner in the 79th minute to take the game.

The Eagles (5-2, 0-2 ACC) defense stood tall for the game, with 22 shots on goal fired and allowing just the final goal on 11 corner attempts. Sophomore goalie Sarah Dwyer made a career-high nine saves in the contest while junior Alyssa Olenick made two defensive saves in the first half.
