BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team lost to Rhode Island, 6-4, on a rainy Wednesday evening at the Harrington Athletics Village. The Eagles dropped to 15-19, while the Rams improved to 14-15-1.
URI scored two in the first, but BC posted single runs in each of its first three turns at bat to lead 3-2 after the second. The Rams regained the lead in the sixth with three runs on two hits and two walks. Right fielder Mark Coley tripled in the tying run and score the go-ahead run; beating the throw home on a ground ball off the bat of catcher Jordan Laske.
