NEWTON, MASS. – The Boston College women's soccer team fell, 2-1, to No. 12 Virginia in an ACC match in front of 673 fans at the Newton Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon. Boston College is now 9-8-1 and 3-5-1 in the ACC, while Virginia improved to 10-3-4 and 5-1-3 in the conference.
BC and Virginia played a scoreless first half. Virginia had three shots on goal while BC had one.
The second half was a back-and-forth affair. Both teams attacked and countered. Boston College scored first in the 71st minute on a goal by Jenna Bike.
