FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Boston College lacrosse team lost to No. 1 Maryland, 16-13, in front of a NCAA Women's Division I Championship Game record 11,668 fans on Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.
Junior Kenzie Kent led the Eagles with five goals and five assists which tied a career high for 10 points. She tied the NCAA Championship game record with 10 points set by Maryland's Jen Adams back in 2000.
Kent finished the NCAA Tournament with a NCAA Tournament record 37 points on 21 goals and 16 assists.
The Eagles fought back from behind multiple times and went on a 5-1 run to cut their deficit to 11-10 with 14 minutes left in the game.
