DURHAM, N.C. – Boston College softball lost to Duke 9-1 on Friday evening. The Eagles drop to 14-15 (2-8) while Duke improves to 26-5 (9-2).
Freshman Hannah Slike hit her second home run of the season in her first at bat to give BC an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. Ellie Mataya and Kennedy Labshere also recorded hits for the Eagles.
In the circle, Susannah Anderson started for BC, allowing four earned runs in her 3.1 innings of work. She gave up six hits, walking three, and striking out three.
