The Louisville Cardinals put up two goals in the first half then went on to keep the Eagles from gaining too much momentum for a comeback. Louisville’s first goal came from Emina Ekic who took one touch to send it over Allie Augur who was charging up to the top of the box. Twenty minutes later, Ekic got the assist for the Cardinal’s second goal. Ekic passed to Delaney Snyder who carried it into the box and got a kick shot off just in time to send it into the far corner.
Despite the deficit, Augur came up big with some major saves, including one five minutes into the second half where she had to really extend herself to save a close-range shot.
