COLUMBIA, S.C. - Closing out the Gamecock Invitational, the Boston College softball team fell to Iowa State, 5-4, on Sunday, Feb. 23 in Columbia, South Carolina.
Susannah Anderson started the game for BC, throwing 6.1 innings, allowing nine hits and giving up five runs with six strikeouts. CC Cook came in for relief in the seventh, throwing .2 innings with a strikeout.
Kristin Giery and Gianna Boccango paced the offense for the Eagles, as Giery went 2/4 and an RBI, while Boccango hit a two-run home run in the sixth.
