CLEMSON, S.C. – The Boston College baseball team lost its ACC opener at No. 23 Clemson, 4-3, at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Eagles dropped to 5-7 overall and 0-1 in the ACC, while the Tigers improved to 10-3 and 1-0.
Clemson broke up a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth as three straight batters reached with one away. Shortstop James Parker picked up his second single of the night and after appearing to have been picked off heading for second, wound up on third as the throw from first to second went into left field.
