NEW YORK - The Boston College women's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking 54-51 setback to Columbia in the Sweet 16 of the WNIT on Thursday evening inside Levien Gymnasium.
The Eagles finish with a 21-12 record on the season, while Columbia advances to the next round to face Seton Hall.
Cameron Swartz turned in a game-high 24 points for her 13th 20-point performance of the season. She grabbed seven rebounds in the process. Taylor Soule was the other Eagle in double figures, scoring 14 points and pulling down seven (five offensive) off the glass.
