BOSTON – UConn freshman Natalie Snodgrass scored two goals – including the game-winning tally in the second period – as the No. 3 Boston College women's hockey team fell to Connecticut in the semifinals of the Hockey East Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena.
While the seventh-seeded Connecticut (16-13-9) becomes the lowest seed to ever advance to the league's championship game, top-seeded Boston College (30-4-3) saw its run of four-straight championship game appearances snapped.
BC jumped on the board first as Daryl Watts put the Eagles up at 7:40 of the first period with her 42nd goal of the season, helping BC convert on its first power-play chance of the day.
