STORRS, Conn. – Justin Pearson netted a hat trick for No. 17 UConn in the regular season finale as the Huskies held off a late surge to defeat Boston College 6-3 in Hockey East play on Saturday afternoon at the Toscano Family Ice Forum.
The Eagles closed the regular season at 13-15-6 overall and 8-11-5 in Hockey East. BC is the No. 8 seed in the Hockey East Tournament and will host No. 9 seed UMass in the Opening Round next Wednesday night at Kelley Rink.
The Huskies improved to 20-11-3 (13-9-2 HEA) and clinched the three-game regular season series against the Eagles 2-1-0.
