CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Boston College dropped its ACC opener on Friday night by a 6-1 final score against Virginia at Boar's Head Sports Club. The Eagles fell to 1-2 (0-1 ACC), while the Cavaliers improved to 4-2 (1-1 ACC).
Sean Mullins picked up BC's lone point in Charlottesville, beating RJ Fresen in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in fifth singles.
Javi Amantegui took Matthew Lord to a third set in third singles before falling 6-3 in the deciding set.
The Eagles return to action next weekend hosting Notre Dame on Friday, Feb.
