NEWTON, Mass.: The No. 13 Boston College field hockey team forced their second consecutive double-overtime game of the season as senior Frederique Haverhals found the game-winner to lift the Eagles over conference foe Wake Forest, 4-3, Friday evening in Newton.
The Eagles found the lead early in the first stanza as senior captain Lucy Lytle tipped the ball in from the left corner, just 6:04 into the game. Wake Forest's Jule Grashoff evened the score at 24:36 off of a corner shot while freshman Eva Van de Mierop was sitting for a green card.
