ORLANDO, Fla. – The Boston College softball team dropped a non-conference contest on Wednesday night, falling to the University of Central Florida, 4-1. The Eagles trailed 4-0 heading into the top of the seventh and pulled a run back on a home run before going on to load the bases, but the Knights held on for the victory at the UCF Softball Complex.
After the Eagles left two runners on in the home half of the first, UCF used a double and a subsequent two-run home run to hold a 2-0 lead after the first full frame.
