BRIGHTON, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (16-12, 5-8) dropped game one of their weekend series, 12-4 to No. 14 Florida State (25-4, 6-4) on Friday afternoon.
Michael Farinelli (New York, N.Y.) got the Friday start for Boston College and struck out three over 4.2 innings, with four runs issued, one being earned.
Cameron Leary (Bethpage, N.Y.) opened the scoring in the third inning, putting the Eagles up 3-0 on a three-run shot to left field. Leary's tenth home run of the season marked the 38th of his BC career, giving Leary sole possession of second-most home runs in program history, passing Mickey Wiswall's 37 from 2008-10.
